The Transformation of Amortissment at The Angle of Prasat in Khmer Arts to the Antefixe of Prang in Thai Arts

This Research aims to investigate the transformation of Amortissements at
the Angles in the beginning of Khmer Arts until the last period, and continuous
to Prang in Thai Arts. The Research is studies from the scholars books including
actual sites where no research has been done,and analyzed all documents.
The Study is divided into 6 chapters. Chi.1, the introduction provided background information and rational of the situation. Ch.2., gives an overview of Indian and Khmer Arts. Ch. 3, describes about the Amortissment at the angle in difference periods. Ch.4., discuss about amortissment at angle which transforms into Naga stand in the period of Bapuan ,Angkor Wat, Bayon. Ch.5., discusses about decoration of Antefixes found in Thai Arts. Ch.6., is the analysis ,and Ch.7 ., the conclusion the finding from this study.
The Research has found that
1. The Amortissment has first been transformed to Naga Stand in Bapuan period of Khmer Arts (at the end of 16 th. to 17 th. Buddhist Century).
2. There are 2 types of lotus shape at the top of the Prasat. The first type is like the fate latus shape at Prasat Pimai, the second type is like the thin lotus shape at Angkor Wat.
3. The Naga stand can be distinguished by the slim shpes of the Naga bodies which serves as a frame around the Naga’s head and always stand on a base.
4. The Antefixe in Thai Prang thin in order to match whith the height of the roof of the Prasat.
